The C and D Canal which divides the north and south sides of Chesapeake City, Maryland is the busiest canal in The United States. People visiting Chesapeake City love to see the enormous ships that often go through this small town. There is a website that can tell you what ships will be going down the canal and when…Details
The Crowne Plaza, where the bride got ready, had very elegant and clean modern looking rooms. It worked out great as a getting ready spot for a north Wilmington wedding. Both the ceremony and reception at the Waterfall banquet center went very smoothly. It can be very convenient to have your ceremony and reception in the sameDetails
The University of Delaware held an alumni event at the Headquarters for one of their partners (and uniform manufacturer) Under Armour. The Under Armour facility, is pretty enormous and spread out over multiple buildings overlooking the Baltimore Harbour (right across the water from Fells Point).Details
The grounds where the ceremony was set up for Adam and Kelley’s wedding at the Blue Max Inn in Chesapeake City, Maryland looked beautiful. Great weather along with the old trees and historic buildings of Chesapeake City provided me with great light to work with, and created the needed shade for all of the wedding guests and the bride and groom.Details
Chesapeake City had their annual St. Patricks Day parade in town yesterday (followed by a pub crawl for the adults). The Philadelphia Mummers Band (Duffy String Band), Clydesdales from nearby Winbak Farms, some great classic cars, High School bands (from Bohemia Manor, Rising Sun, and Elkton) were some of the highlights of the parade.Details
It finally got above 50 degrees for what seems like the first time in months this weekend, so we went out and enjoyed the sun and the snowless backyard for the first time in a while, with our happy little girl (and took some photos of course). Unfortunately, as I am posting this, it is already back down below freezing, but it looks like winter is at least approaching an end.Details
Judge Brenda Sexton was appointed by Governor Martin O’Malley, and recently sworn in as the fourth Circuit Court Judge in Cecil County. Last week I did a quick photo shoot of Judge Sexton for her upcoming campaign. Both Judge Sexton and her husband seem like very nice people, and I wish them the best of luck …Details
On Thursday, I photographed Robert Straight’s exhibition opening and talk in the Old College Gallery at the University of Delaware. The title of the exhibit is “Strategy and Structure” and it showcases a variety of his paintings, dating from the 70’s though present day. As an alumni of the UD’s Fine Art program, it was nice …Details
The water in much of the Elk River is very shallow and slower moving, but then drops off sharply towards the deep channel. It creates an interesting effect when the temperature is low for this long. The hundred feet or so near the shore freezes, while the faster moving water in the channel doesn’t,Details
A bouncy house, mini-golf, volleyball, barbecue chicken, a popcorn machine, an apple cider donut truck, homemade pies, a carnival band, and a competitive kickball game …………… all, at a wedding.
Sarah and Sarah put together a great time for all of their guests with this informal and fun wedding this past fall that really fit their personalities.
Every year we have several brides or grooms that are located far enough away that we don’t get to meet with them before the wedding….. able to do everything from their computer ( like me ), I am always looking to add new things to our web site that will make it a little more convenient for everyone. The most recent additions are: A bunch of new pictures of some of our sample albums, and a contract that can be entirely filled out, signed, and submitted online.Details
Alissa and I had a great time at the Chesapeake Inn Bridal Tasting this Sunday. We got to see 3 of our upcoming Brides/Grooms and spoke to dozens more excited couples about their upcoming weddings at the Chesapeake Inn. It was also nice to see some of the other Chesapeake Inn vendors there.Details
I just added a new page with the intention of giving prospective brides/ grooms as much information as possible on what to look for in a wedding photographer, whether you choose us or not :)Details
Since my wife keeps referring to things that she “pinned” on Pinterest, it seemed like it was time to start a business page there. I can already see how it can become addictive as a way to categorize/share ideas and photos. I definitely like the simplicity of the “pin-it” button browser ad-don for Google Chrome.Details
